NAVY AA and SSR

Indian Navy invites online application for Artificer Aprientice and Senior Secondary Recruit (SSR) twice in a year. For both posts common notification is issued, single form is submmited and common exam is conducted. The notifications comes in the month of June and December. The exam for June notifcation held in August month and for December notification held in March month.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Date of Birth: Artificer Apprentice : A candidate must not below 16 and half must not be above 20 Years.
Senior Secondary Recruit: A candidate must not below 16 and half must not be above 21 Years.

Educational Qualification:

  • Artificer Apprentice: Qualified in 10+2 examination with 60% or more marks in aggregate with Maths & Physics and at least one of these subjects:-Chemistry/Biology/Computer Science.
  • Senior Secondary Recruit: Qualified in 10+2 examination with Maths & Physics and at least one of these subjects:-Chemistry/Biology/Computer Science.

SELECTION PROCEDURE

The selection criteria are divided into the following stages:

  • - Computer-based Examination
  • - Qualifying Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and
  • - Medical Examination

Written Exam pattern:

The Navy reserves the right to determine the pass marks in each Section and in aggregate. The candidates are required to pass in all sections and in aggregate. The standard of the question paper will be that of 10+2 level.

Physical Fitness Test (PFT):

The PFT will be of qualifying nature but it is mandatory for selection.

  • 1.6 Km in 7 minutes
  • 20 squat ups (Uthak Baithak) and
  • 10 Push-ups

NAVY MR (METRIC RECRUIT)

Educational Qualification: Candidate must have passed Matriculation Examination from recognized board.

Age Limit: 17 Years to 20 Years

SELECTION PROCEDURE

Selection of recruits is based on the order of merit on their performance in Written Test, qualifying Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and fitness in Medical Examinations.

INDIAN NAVY  10+2 (B.TECH) CADET ENTRY SCHEME

Indian Navy invites applications twice in a year for 4 years B. Tech. course at Indian Naval Academy, Ezimala, Kerala under 10+2 cadet entry scheme. The notifications are issued on the months of June and December.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Educational Qualification:

10+2 Passed with at least 70% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and at least 50% marks in English (either in Class X or Class XII).

Age Limit: A candidate must not be below 16½ years & above 19½ years

Who can Apply: Candidates who have appeared for JEE (Main) -2018 (for B.E./ B.Tech) exam. Call up for Service Selection Board (SSB) will be issued on the basis of JEE (Main) - 2018 All India Rank

SELECTION PROCEDURE

The selection consists of the following Phases:

  • Short listing of the application: On the basis of JEE (Main) All India Rank- 2018
  • SSB Interview

SSB INTERVIEW

After clearing the writing exam, the successful candidates are called for SSB Interview at the Service Selection Board. It is a five days interview procedure.

  • - Filling up of PIQ (Personal Information Questionnaire) form
  • - Filling in the personal particulars in forms supplied by SSB
  • - Grouping of candidates and allotment of chest numbers

Day First : Screening Test

  • - Picture Perception and Description Test (PPDT)

Day Second : Psychological Tests and Interview

  • - Thematic Apperception Test (TAT)
  • - Word Association Test (WAT)
  • - Situation Reaction Test (SRT)
  • - Self-Description Test (SDT)
  • - Interview of some candidates by President/Deputy President

Day Third : GTO Tasks and Interview

  • - Group Discussions (GD)
  • - Group Planning Exercise (GPE)
  • - Progressive Group Task (PGT)
  • - Group Obstacle Race /Snake Race (GOR)
  • - Half Group Task (HGT)
  • - Interview of some candidates by President/Deputy President

Day Fourth : GTO Tasks and Interview

  • - Individual Obstacles (IO)
  • - Lecturette
  • - Command Task (CT)
  • - Final Group Task (FGT)
  • - Interview of the remaining candidates

Day Fifth : Final Board Conference
